Who doesn’t love some floral notes in their sweets? The gentle and calming taste of rose comes together in this Peda to bring you your new favourite mithai – not only for its taste but also for its healthy nature. All we had to do was skip the dairy to make that happen for you!

Ingredients: Mixed Nuts, Raw Sugar, plant based Ghee, Rose Petals

Background: Peda is a well-known mithai which is of the softer kind and is sweet & circular.  It is traditionally made from khoya, sugar and traditional flavorings including cardamom seeds, pistachio nuts and saffron. Usually, full-fat milk or buffalo milk is used for the khoya to first create soft cheese as the base for the khoya dough and then add the rest of the ingredients while it is still hot to give it that soft & fudgy texture. However, we have completely skipped the heavy dairy and used plant-based ingredients and nuts which are super delicious yet healthy at the same time!
