A simple yet delicious curry featuring Good Dot Proteiz. This mock meat is not only a great source of protein, but it’s also rich in calcium and contains zero cholesterol!
What You’ll Need:
- 100g Good Dot Proteiz
- 4 Tablespoon Emkay Vegan Ghee
- 3-4 finely chopped onions
- 2 finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 3 chopped green chilies
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- ¼ tablespoon coriander powder
- ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 3-4 cups water
- Salt as per taste
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions:
- Add 100g proteiz into 1 litre of water and boil it for 8-9 minutes
- Drain out the water, let proteiz cool. Then, squeeze the excess water from it
- Heat Emkay vegan ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds
- When cumin seeds begin to splutter, add chopped chilies and onions. Fry until onions turn golden brown
- Add ginger-garlic paste, stir well and fry for 1-2 minutes
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook it for 5 minutes or until it starts to brown and releases juices
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and stir well for 1 minute
- Add proteiz and salt, then stir well for 4 minutes so that masala fully coats the proteiz
- Add 3-4 cups of water based on how thick you want the gravy and bring the water to a boil.
- Cover and cook on a low flame for 8-10 minutes until proteiz is well cooked.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice
